School Closure Information
We are so thankful to see that you are so keen to support your child to continue their learning journey at home. Remember we are here for any advice should you need it, please contact the teachers through Tapestry or email the school on firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be using Tapestry https://eylj.org/ to upload activities on a daily basis so please make sure that you log in regularly.
Below are some web links that you can use to support your child at home:
There will be daily RWI phonic lessons on the Ruth Miskin website.
Each lesson is ten to fifteen minutes long and available for 24 hours. The children are familiar with the programme as it is used at school every day.
Oxford Owl have made free ebooks available during the duration of school closures so that your child has more to read. If you know, your child’s reading level, download the levelled books for them to read independently.
Audible an audio book service has cancelled the paid subscription and has given children free access to audio books! How amazing!
Nick Cannon, a trained actor, teacher and a storyteller reads well- known stories. Storytime includes books by Tom Percival, Cressida Cowell, David Melling, Jeanne Willis, Judith Kerr, Oliver Jeffers and David Walliams.
A new story is added to their YouTube channel at 2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.
White Rose have organised daily ‘lessons’ that flow across the course of the week, with a short explanatory presentation, an independent task and answers for each day.
Joe Wicks has daily workouts, which children can follow.
